The district completely changes your Marrakech. Sleeping in the medina puts everything within walking distance, but means noise, narrow lanes and carrying luggage to the door. Gueliz and Hivernage offer wide streets and classic hotels, a few taxi minutes from Jemaa el-Fna. The Palmeraie is quiet with pools but requires travelling for everything. Always check the real location on a map.
